Bloodvine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 14 feet (4.3 meters) and growing as high as 71 feet (21.6 meters).
It takes 10 months for the copper stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and remain soft and fleshy.
The very thin, smooth leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are either indigo or orange, with washed-out green zig-zags, and have irregular edges.
During late spring, the bine produces a thick sheet of large blood red flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces a handful of large berries.
It is suitable for making paper
