Copperpine
Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives "forever", with many known specimens being tens of thousands of years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in hard, wrinkled, light brown bark, and inside, the hard wood is copper-coloured.
The numerous branches are short, rigid and upright, with dozens of twigs covered with handfuls of giant, moss green needles. The needles themselves are tough.
In late summer it produces large, gold, spiky-shelled seeds.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
All parts of the fruit tree are edible.
