Azure Flamevine

Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) tall. Its green stem is wispy, and the small, emerald leaves are flame-shaped with rounded edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

6 to 9 large flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 13 cm (5.1 inches) wide, with petals that are azure at the sides and cyan at the center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 50 petals. They detach easily.

It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like leather, and it has lots of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
