Brownwood

Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its stem)

This large tree grows up to 76 meters (249.4 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, curved trunk covered in fine, cracked, light brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is pale brown.

The small handful of branches are very short, thin and wispy, with thousands of twigs covered with sparse amounts of huge, green needles. The needles themselves are flimsy.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, light grey, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
