Silverwood

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This big tree grows up to 67 meters (219.8 feet) tall and lives for over 3,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 3334 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, curved trunk covered in delicate, cracked, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the very dense wood is dark brown.

The small handful of branches are short and slender, with thousands of twigs covered with sparse amounts of large, grey or silver needles. The needles themselves are frail.

In late summer it produces small, white berries.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is very resistant to fire damage.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
