Blueleaf Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This short tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 142 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has a narrow, angular trunk covered in very thick, ridged, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is white with black speckles.
The small handful of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with thick bunches of crispy, small, broad, flat leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are either blue or gold, with black edges.
In early spring, it produces thick bunches of large, lime blossoms with 4 pointed petals. They fall easily and have the faintest scent that smells like alcohol.
In late summer it forms tiny, black, shelled seeds.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
