Bronzeberry

Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)

This big tree grows up to 65 meters (213.3 feet) tall and lives for over 2,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 2897 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, twisting trunk covered in thin, waxy, pine-coloured bark, and inside, the dense wood is burgundy-brown.

The excessive amount of branches are tall, rigid and upright, with hundreds of twigs covered with thick bunches of giant, light yellow needles. The needles themselves are fairly frail.

In late summer it produces large, bronze berries.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.

The bark, wood and leaves are edible.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
