Copperleaf
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 78 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a stocky, curved trunk covered in delicate, rough, brown and grey bark, and inside, the very light wood is pale brown-grey.
The small handful of branches are very short and thin and are covered with large amounts of soft, giant, very thin leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are cream on the sides and copper at the center.
In early spring, it produces thousands of tiny, grey blossoms with long, tapering petals. They are very delicate and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like a newborn baby.
In late summer it forms small, green, shelled seeds.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
The sap causes itchiness of the skin
