Copperwood
Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)This huge tree grows up to 149 meters (488.9 feet) tall and lives "forever", with many known specimens being tens of thousands of years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.
It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, waxy, brown-green bark, and inside, the very light wood is light brown.
The tangled mess of branches trail down across the ground, with hundreds of twigs covered with sparse amounts of tiny, copper needles. The needles themselves are flimsy.
In late summer it produces medium-sized, green, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
