Crescent Bloom

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its orange stem is very thick, and the huge, orange-yellow leaves are crescent-shaped with serrated edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Two giant flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with petals that are generally lime; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is largely flat with 22 widely spaced round-tipped petals. They are very delicate.

It has a weak scent that smells like rich perfume, and it has a modest amount of pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
