Aquarbor
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This short tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 197 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in thick, cracked, dark brown bark, and inside, the light wood is mahogany-coloured.
The branches are very long and slender and are covered with large amounts of rough, tiny, needle-like leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are generally yellow.
In early spring, it produces lots of medium-sized, copper blossoms with oval-shaped petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like fish.
In late summer it forms giant, muted green, tough-shelled seeds.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
