Silverfern

This gray and silver moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In rainforests, In bogs, and In heathlands.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is extremely light.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release dozens of spores.
