Spikegrass

This short, emerald grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The thick stalks grow in sparse patches that are strong and tough and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, aquamarine spikelet.

During the early winter, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of small grains.
