Bluebell

Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) tall. Its orange-yellow stems grow in bunches of 7 and are very thin with a curved tip, and the miniature, red leaves are thin with serrated edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

1 to 3 medium-sized flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 7 cm (2.8 inches) wide, with vivid blue petals and a yellow center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 curved petals. They detach easily.

It has a strong scent that smells like a newborn baby, and it has a modest amount of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by a small species of bird.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
