Orange Blossom Tree
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This enormous fruit tree grows up to 72 feet (21.9 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 34 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a very thick, wavy trunk covered in paper-thin, ridged, brown-green bark, and inside, the hard wood is black.
The branches are very long and thick and are covered with small amounts of miniature, long, narrow leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid orange or cream, with turquoise zig-zags.
In early spring, it produces thousands of small, blood red blossoms with asymmetrical petals. They are sturdy and have an intense scent that smells like rich perfume.
In early winter it produces small, broad, flat fruit. The crispy florescent green skin is stretchy and spicy and sour, and the soft gold flesh is sweet and very juicy. The silver seed is small and sits at the end of the fruit.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It commonly grows in large patches.
