Blackbark

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This giant tree grows up to 136 meters (446.2 feet) tall and lives for over 1,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 1232 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, crooked trunk covered in paper-thin, smooth, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the hard wood is light brown.

The small bunches of branches trail down to the ground, covered with thick bunches of large, gray needles. The needles themselves are delicate.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, deep red, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
