Brown Climber

This short bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 24 feet (7.3 meters) and growing as high as 816 feet (248.7 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 4 months for the brown stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and remain soft and fleshy.

The fan-like, waxy leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are a shade of green that gradient shifts to muted green at the top, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces hundreds of small beige flowers.
