Turquoise

Flower type: Annual (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This average-sized flower grows up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. Its orange stem is thick and splits into dozens of branching stems halfway up, and the miniature, silver leaves are stiff, pointed with jagged edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Many giant flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 10 cm (3.9 inches) wide, with alternating petals of turquoise and white, with a green central disk. The flower head is shaped like a sphere made up of 12 widely spaced, narrow petals. They fall easily.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like an ocean breeze, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator.

The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is suitable for making strong rope
