Burgundy Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This average-sized tree grows up to 9 meters (29.5 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 153 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in very thick, wrinkled, burgundy and brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is burgundy.
The excessive amount of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with thick bunches of leathery, tiny, long, tapering leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally caramel.
In early spring, it produces bunches of small, cyan blossoms with many layers of petals. They are hardy and have a faint scent that smells like a newborn baby.
In late summer it forms small, black berries.
The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
