Copper Dot
Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its stem)This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.9 feet (58 cm) tall. Its hazel or bronze stem is very thick and straight, and the miniature, green leaves are wispy with irregular edges. 12 leaves grow at the base of the stem.
Dozens of medium-sized flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 11 cm (4.3 inches) wide, with bold blue petals on the lower layer and florescent green petals decorated with copper dots on the inner layer. The central disk is beige. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 36 curved petals. They fall easily.
It has a strong scent that smells like grass cuttings, and it has lots of pollen. It is a self-pollinator.
