Burgundy Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This large tree grows up to 75 meters (246.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 618 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, crooked trunk covered in thin, ridged, burgundy bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is mahogany-coloured.

The tangled mess of branches are very long and thin and are covered with copious amounts of rough, small, finger-like leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are gray with washed-out red tips.

In early spring, it produces many giant, cyan blossoms with asymmetrical petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a faint scent that smells like onion.

In late summer it forms giant, orange, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
