Orange-Yellow

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This enormous caudiciform grows up to 29 feet (8.8 meters) tall. The pleated stem is orange-yellow, and is dotted with small cream spines. The wonky, light brown trunk can grow to as much as 29 feet (8.8 meters) in diameter at the top. Its violet branches are long and slender and start growing a quarter of the way up the stem.

The small amounts of ripped-edged, very thick leaves are cream with cyan tips. They are hardy, but detach easily.

It is slow growing, taking 39 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are cyan in the center, azure in the middle and green at the edges, grow at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 12 petals in raised layers. It has a soft scent that smells like soap.

The caudiciform's skin is very thick, the yellow flesh is leathery, and the cyan sap is thin.
