Crimson Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This huge tree grows up to 98 meters (321.5 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 167 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, wavy trunk covered in very thick, cracked, brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is silver.

The tangled mess of branches are long and thin and are covered with sparse amounts of soft, miniature, wispy leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are found in red, orange and azure varieties.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, hazel seed pods.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
