Copperleaf
Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This short creeper is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 13 feet (4.0 meters) and growing as high as 647 feet (197.2 meters).
It takes 4 months for the dark grey or cream stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are smooth and rubbery.
The stiff, pointed, crispy leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are a shade of copper that gradient shifts to gold at the top, and have tattered edges.
During late spring, the creeper produces bunches of large bold yellow flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces plenty of large berries.
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
