Black Puff Grass

Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This small, lime green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very thick stalks grow in small clumps that are flimsy and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, black puff.

During the late summer, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of medium-sized grains.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
The leaves are bland but very healthy.
