Copper
Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its stem)This short flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its orange stems grow in bunches of 5 and are thick and straight, and the miniature, orange-yellow leaves are light copper on the underside and are long, tapering with toothed edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
Each stem splits 4 to 10 times; a single small flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 20 cm (7.9 inches) wide, with orange petals and an indigo central disk. The flower head is shaped like a dish made up of handfuls of raised, round-tipped petals. They fall easily.
It has a mildly strong scent that smells like fermented fruit, and it has lots of pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
It comes in 62 varieties.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
