Turquoise?
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This short fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 45 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 71 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.
It has a narrow, wonky trunk covered in thin, cracked, gray bark, and inside, the soft wood is pine-coloured.
The sparse amount of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with large amounts of tiny, broad, flat leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are found in lime, turquoise and beige varieties.
In early spring, it produces a handful of tiny, washed-out blue blossoms with many layers of petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like something putrid.
In early autumn it produces tiny, long, narrow fruit. The soft olive skin is tough and sweet and spicy, and the crunchy brown flesh is sweet and very juicy. The bold red seed is small and sits at the end of the fruit.
The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
