Silvergrass
Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)This average-sized, slate grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The thick stalks grow in extensive patches that are rigid and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, light grey tuft.
During the early winter, it produces copious amounts of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of tiny grains.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
