Ashenfern
Grass type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short, ashy green and grey grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The needle-like stalks grow in thick clumps that are durable and they overwhelm an area rapidly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, washed-out red flower.
During the mid-summer, it produces very little pollen, but can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of tiny grains.
The trunk and branches are covered in large spikes.
It is bio-luminescent.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
