Copper
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 648 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a thick, straight trunk covered in wrinkled, pine-coloured bark, and inside, the dense wood is pale yellow.
The tangled mess of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with very large amounts of smooth, large, asymmetrical leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are copper on the edges and magenta at the center.
In late summer it forms medium-sized, dark brown seed pods.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
