Browncling Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized tree grows up to 23 meters (75.5 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 200 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, slanted trunk covered in paper-thin, rough, brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is black.

The large clumps of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with copious amounts of leathery, giant, thick leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally brown.

In late summer it forms giant, black, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It blooms only at night.
