Pinkstar

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.8 feet (53 cm) tall. Its pink-red stems grow in bunches of 5 and are very thin and straight, and the large, lime green leaves are very narrow and elongated with ripped edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Hundreds of tiny flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with petals that are pink at the sides and white at the center. The flower head is shaped like a star with 9 widely spaced, narrow petals. They are very delicate.

It has a powerful scent that smells like rainy days, and it has lots of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.
