Blackgrass
Grass type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small, black grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The fan-like stalks grow in small clumps that are light and frail and they are exceptionally hardy.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, pale orange flower.
During the early winter, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of medium-sized grains.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It commonly grows in large patches.
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
