Pink-Red Succulent Caudiciform
Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 56 feet (17.1 meters) tall. The tapering stem is pink-red, and is covered in brittle white spines. It has a crooked, narrow, black trunk atop a flat clump of rough, exposed roots. The branches are slender and emerald and are short stubs.
The irregular-edged, circular leaves are either bright green or white, with caramel patches. They are resilient, and take some effort to detach.
It is steady-growing, taking 9 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with alternating petals of yellow and muted blue, with a bright green central disk grow at the top, reappearing after 5 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 41 petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like ashes.
The caudiciform's skin is tough, the silver flesh is waxy, and the bronze sap is thin.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
