Silver Puff Grass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This modest-sized, orange grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The thick stalks grow in thick clumps that are strong and tough.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, silver puff.

During the mid-autumn, it produces excessive amounts of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of small grains.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
