Blackvine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This enormous tree grows up to 147 meters (482.3 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 152 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, slanted trunk covered in ridged, black bark, and inside, the soft wood is white.

The numerous branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with thick bunches of soft, large, asymmetrical leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are found in gentle yellow, beige and gentle yellow varieties.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of small, hazel blossoms with 9 kidney-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have a strong scent that smells like apple.

In late summer it forms tiny, grey seed pods.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is suitable for making paper
