Azure Bine

This small bine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 17 feet (5.2 meters) and growing as high as 113 feet (34.4 meters).

It takes 9 months for the azure stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and woody.

The sickle shaped, smooth leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are solid copper with grey edges, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces copious amounts of small bronze flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of tiny fruits.
