Amberleaf

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized tree grows up to 21 meters (68.9 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 361 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, angular trunk covered in silky, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the hard wood is pale brown.

The small bunches of branches are very short and thick and are covered with small amounts of sticky, large, slender, pointed leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are amber at the bottom and cream with dark brown patches at the top.

In early spring, it produces a thick sheet of small, olive blossoms with spiral petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have an overpowering scent that smells like citrus.

In late summer it forms small, black, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It comes in 3 varieties, each with a different leaf colour.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
