Aquaflora
Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)This short flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its burgundy stems grow in bunches of 3 and are thin with a curved tip, and the miniature, moss green leaves are thin with serrated edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.
A single large flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 13 cm (5.1 inches) wide, with petals that are hazel at the sides and azure at the center. The flower head is shaped like a bowl with 50 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. They are hardy.
It has an overpowering scent that smells like new books, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also particularly attractive to bees.
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
Several parts of the tree have medicinal properties.
It is suitable for making paper
