Caramel Bindweed
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 43 feet (13.1 meters) and growing as high as 25 feet (7.6 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.
It takes 2 years for the caramel and green stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are rough and gnarled.
The wispy, sticky leaves reach up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) in length. They are either white, or pink with black zig-zags, and have rounded edges.
During late spring, the bine produces a handful of large caramel flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of very large fruits.
The sap causes itchiness of the skin
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
