Cinnamon Petal

This modest-sized flower grows up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. Its red stem is thick and straight, and the tiny, lime green leaves are wispy with ripped edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 20 cm (7.9 inches) wide, with solid lime petals decorated with violet dots and a brown central disk. The flower head is made up of 9 petals in raised layers. They fall easily.

It has an intensely strong scent that smells like cinnamon, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.
