Blazeleaf Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This small tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 310 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a long and flexible, crooked trunk covered in silky, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is dark brown.
The thick clumps of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with thick bunches of clammy, huge, 4 pointed leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are vivid yellow on the edges and blood red at the center.
In late summer it forms large, bold orange seed pods.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
