Cliffvine
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This short tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 215 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has a wide, wavy trunk covered in very thick, waxy, burgundy bark, and inside, the soft wood is pine-coloured.
The sparse amount of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with very large amounts of smooth, tiny, fan-like leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of bronze or violet that gradient shifts to pink at the top.
In early spring, it produces bunches of large, green blossoms with circular petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a mildly strong scent that smells like rotten meat.
In late summer it forms small, muted red, spiky-shelled seeds.
The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
