Aqualignum

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This massive tree grows up to 121 meters (397.0 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 248 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, curved trunk covered in very thick, wrinkled, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the dense wood is pale yellow.

The branches are very short and thin and are covered with handfuls of waxy, giant, thin leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are found in bold green, silver and blue varieties.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of medium-sized, aquamarine blossoms with circular petals. They fall easily and have an intensely strong scent that smells like coffee.

In late summer it forms large, yellow, shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

The sap is orange.
It is suitable for making strong rope
