Serpentine Vine Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short fruit tree grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 21 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in thin, knobbly, light gray bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is silver.

The sparse amount of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with thick bunches of miniature, circular leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are green and blood red.

In early spring, it produces a thick sheet of large, gold blossoms with V-shaped petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have an intensely strong scent that smells like ashes.

In early winter it produces , slender, 8 pointed fruit. The fuzzy lime skin is delicate and inedible, and the soft black flesh is bitter and oily. The silver seed is large and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
