Bloodvine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This big bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 254 feet (77.4 meters) and growing as high as 60 feet (18.3 meters).

It takes 5 years for the yellow stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are smooth and rubbery.

The spear shaped, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 2.1 feet (64 cm) in length. They are lilac at the bottom and blood red with red patches at the top, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces a handful of small blood red flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces a handful of tiny berries.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
