Aquaflora

Flower type: Annual (Stores water in its leaves)

This short flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its lime green stem is wispy and splits into several branching stems at the top, and the giant, silver leaves are dark moss green on the underside and are long, narrow with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

5 to 10 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 11 cm (4.3 inches) wide, with petals that are orange in the center, pastel blue in the middle and white at the edges. The flower head is shaped like a cube made up of 4 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. They are hardy.

It has no scent, and it has copious amounts of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by a variety of insects.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
