Crimson Bindweed
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 42 feet (12.8 meters) and growing as high as 880 feet (268.2 meters).
It takes 4 years for the silver stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are flat and wavy.
The long, narrow, sticky leaves reach up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) in length. They are blood red on the edges and cream at the center, and have rounded edges.
During late spring, the bine produces hundreds of tiny dark grey flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces copious amounts of tiny berries.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is overwhelmingly resistant to fire damage.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
