Caramel Lily

Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This big flower grows up to 6.7 feet (2.0 meters) tall. Its caramel stem is very thin, and the large, emerald leaves are thin with toothed edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and a pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

3 to 5 giant flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 50 cm (19.7 inches) wide, with petals that are beige at the sides and copper at the center. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. They are hardy.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like candle wax, and it has copious amounts of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to bees.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
