Lilac Puff Grass
Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)This short, emerald grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The oval-shaped stalks grow in thick clumps that are resistant and they overwhelm an area rapidly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, lilac puff.
During the early winter, it produces a modest amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of giant grains.
It commonly grows in large patches.
